Parliamentary delegation led by NA Speaker unanimously decided to participate in 148th Session of Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) in Geneva, Switzerland

Parliamentary delegation unanimously took the decision to take part in the 148th Session of Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) in Geneva, Switzerland starting from 23rd March 2024 to put forth substantive stance  on issues of severe Indian barbarity in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu & Kashmir (IIOJK), to highlight the remorseless and inhuman repression inflicted on innocent Palestinians by Israeli Occupation Forces, to sensitize the world community regarding socio-economic impacts of climate change on Pakistan and to raise awareness about increasing Islamophobic Trends around the world.

Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq would represent the feelings of each Pakistani and highlighting Kashmir and Palestine issues would be the central theme of his speech. Meanwhile, all Parliamentary Members would also deliberate upon issues related to education, health, women, children and climate change during meetings of sub-committees of IPU. It is pertinent to mention that Pakistan has been a long-standing member of the IPU, an important forum for all Parliaments of World and resolutions passed there have special weightage around the world.
