Islamabad, 17th March, 2024: The Speaker of the National Assembly, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, held a fruitful meeting with the Ambassador of Iran, H.E. Dr. Amiri Moghaddam, at Parliament House in Islamabad. The discussion encompassed various topics, with a focus on bolstering parliamentary and economic relations between Iran and Pakistan.

During the meeting, Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq reaffirmed Pakistan's deep-rooted fraternal bond with Iran, steeped in a shared history, culture, and religion. He emphasized the need to strengthen these ties further by expanding cooperation across all mutual areas of interest, particularly in energy and trade, to uplift the economies of both nations, especially those living on both sides of the common border.

The Speaker highlighted the strategic geographical positioning of both countries, presenting significant opportunities for regional and global connectivity and trade promotion. While acknowledging the positive trajectory in bilateral trade, he noted that there is untapped potential that both nations should explore. He stressed the importance of addressing pending issues such as those related to banking, trade, transportation, and energy in a cordial manner. Additionally, he expressed optimism about resolving issues related to the Iran-Pakistan gas pipeline.

Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq underscored the pivotal role of parliamentary diplomacy in strengthening bilateral relations and expressed intent to actively engage all relevant stakeholders regularly, to support governmental efforts in achieving common goal of expanded economic cooperation.

Ambassador H.E. Dr. Amiri Moghaddam congratulated Speaker Ayaz Sadiq on his re-election and extended warm Ramadan greetings. He praised the Speaker's vision for collective growth and assured full commitment and cooperation from Iran across all areas. The Ambassador also informed the Speaker about the upcoming visit of the Iranian President to Pakistan, highlighting its significance in advancing bilateral relations and enhancing cooperation in various sectors.

Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq thanked the Ambassador for his kind words and pledged mutual efforts to strengthen the bond between Pakistan and Iran.

 اسپیکر قومی اسمبلی سے ایران کے سفیر کی ملاقات

 اسلام آباد، 17 مارچ، 2024: اسپیکر قومی اسمبلی سردار ایاز صادق سے پاکستان میں تعینات ایران کے سفیر ڈاکٹر امیری مقدم نے پارلیمنٹ ہاؤس میں ملاقات کی۔ملاقات میں دوطرفہ پارلیمانی اور اقتصادی تعلقات کو مزید مستحکم بنانے سمیت باہمی دلچسپی کے امور پر تبادلہ خیال کیا گیا ۔

  اسپیکر سردار ایاز صادق نے ایران کے ساتھ دیرینہ برادرانہ تعلقات کا حوالہ دیتے ہوئے  کہا کہ دونوں ممالک مشترکہ تاریخ، ثقافت اور مذہب کے لازوال رشتوں میں بندھے ہوئے ہیں۔ انہوں نے سماجی و اقتصادی  شعبوں بالخصوص توانائی اور تجارت میں تعاون کو وسعت دے کر دوطرفہ تعلقات کو مزید مضبوط بنانے کی ضرورت پر زور دیا۔انہوں نے دونوں ممالک خصوصاً مشترکہ سرحد کے دونوں جانب بسنے والے عوام کی فلاح و بہبود اور معیار زندگی کو بہتر بنانے  کے لئے مشترکہ لائحہ عمل اپنانے کے عزم کا اظہار کیا۔

 سپیکر نے دونوں برادر ممالک کی اسٹریٹجک جغرافیائی پوزیشن پر بات کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ  دونوں ممالک میں اپنے انتہائی اہمیت کے حامل محل وقوع کی بدولت علاقائی اور عالمی رابطوں اور تجارت کے فروغ کے لیے وافر مواقع موجود ہیں۔ حالیہ سالوں میں دوطرفہ تجارت میں مثبت پیش رفت کا ذکر کرتے ہوئے انہوں نے کہا  کہ دونوں ممالک کے مابین تجارت سمیت دیگر اقتصادی شعبوں میں باہمی تعاون میں اضافے کے  مواقع موجود ہیں۔انہوں نے کہا کہ دونوں ممالک کے عوام کی فلاح و بہبود کے لیے موجود وسائل کو بروکار لانے کی ضرورت ہے۔انہوں نے اس آمید  کا اظہار کیا پاک۔ ایران  گیس پائپ لائن سے متعلق معاملات  جلد حل کر لیے جائیں گے۔انہوں نے کہا کہ پاک-ایران گیس پائپ لائن توانائی کی ضروریات کو پورا کرنے کے لیے انتہائی اہمیت کا حامل منصوبہ ہے۔ سپیکر سردار ایاز صادق نے دوطرفہ تعلقات کو مضبوط بنانے میں پارلیمانی سفارت کاری کے اہم کردار کو اجاگر کرتے ہوئے دونوں ممالک کی پارلیمانوں میں رابطوں کو فروغ دینے اور پارلیمانی وفود کے تبادلوں کی ضرورت پر زور دیا ۔

 ایرانی سفیر ڈاکٹر امیری مغدام نے سپیکر ایاز صادق کو اسپیکر قومی اسمبلی  منتخب ہونے پر مبارکباد دی اور نیک خواہشات کا اظہار کیا۔ انہوں نے دونوں ممالک کی ترقی اور خوشحالی کے لیے اسپیکر قومی اسمبلی کے ویژن کو سراہا اور تمام شعبوں میں ایران کی جانب سے مکمل  تعاون کا یقین دلایا۔سفیر نے سپیکر کو ایرانی صدر کے آئندہ دورہ پاکستان کے بارے میں بھی آگاہ کیا۔انہوں نے کہا کہ ایرانی صدر کے متوقع دورہ پاکستان سے دونوں ممالک میں اقتصادی شعبے سمیت دیگر شعبوں دوطرفہ تعاون کو مزید فروغ ملے گا۔انہوں نے دوطرفہ تعلقات کو مزید وسعت دینے کیلئے مختلف شعبوں میں تعاون بڑھانے کی اہمیت کو اجاگر کیا۔
