Islamabad, January 24th 2020; 09th meeting of the Standing Committee on Water Resources was held today under the Chairmanship of Nawab Muhammad Yousuf Talpur, MNA.

2.    The meeting started with the recitation from the Holy Quran. The Committee unanimously confirm the minutes of its previous two meetings held on 6th November, 2019 and 29th November, 2019, respectively. Then, the Committee discussed the recommendations given in its previous meeting including the report of Sub-Committee constituted under the Convenership of Mr. Khalid Hussain Magsi, MNA. The Committee decided that the thorough brief of Sub-Committee report would be discussed in next meeting for making the directions. Thereafter, the Committee proceeded with the agenda and discussed all the agenda items one by one thoroughly excluded “Chirrah Dam”. The issue of “Chirrah Dam” was deferred and the Committee decided to take up this item in its meeting.    

3.    The Hon. MNAs/Members Ch. Shoukat Ali Bhatti, Mr. Muhammad Farooq Azam Malik, Ch. Javed Iqbal Warraich, Ms. Naureen Farooq Khan, Ms. Nuzhat Pathan, Mr. Khalid Hussain Magsi, Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Mr. Riaz-ul-Haq, Khawaja Saad Rafique, Mr. Ehsan-ur-Rehman Mazari, Mr. Munir Khan Orakzai. Besides the senior officers from the Ministry of Water Resources, IRSA, Irrigation, Govt. of Punjab, Govt. of Sindh, Govt. of Baluchistan, Govt. of KPK, PEMRA, and WAPDA with their staff also attended the meeting.
