Islamabad, November 9, 2018: The Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser has said that exemplary friendship between Pakistan and China based on the strong foundation of mutual trust, respect, strong strategic partnership and economic viable cooperation.  He said that the all-weather friendship between two friends is time tested.  He expressed these views while talking to 15 member delegation of National People’s Congress of China (NPC) which met him under the leadership of Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of NPC Mr. Zhang Chunxian at Parliament House on Friday.

The Speaker said that closed interaction between the Parliaments of two countries the existing friendly relations can be further strengthened.  He said that the result of the recent visit of Prime Minister Imran Khan to China will be proved long lasting.  He said that the cooperation between two countries would be further enhanced by implementation of agreements during this visit.  He said that with the transfer of technology and establishment of economic zone from China, the employment opportunities will generated and the standard of lives of the people of Pakistan will be increased.

Asad Qaiser said that China-Pak Economic Corridor (CPEC) will be proved gateway for development and prosperity of the region.   He said that Pakistan wanted early completion of CPEC project.  He said that China have got respectable place in comity of nations by its achievements.  He further said that Pakistan wanted to take benefits from Chinese experiences.  The Speaker stressed the need for equal opportunities for both the countries in bilateral trade.  He assured that Pak-China friendship Group in the National Assembly will be reactivated soon to strengthening relations between the Parliaments of both the countries.  He also extended invitation to Chairman NPC to visit Pakistan.

Congratulating on the behalf of Parliament and Government of China to Asad Qaiser on assuming the portfolio of Speaker National Assembly of Pakistan, the Vice Chairman Standing Committee of NPC Mr. Zhang Chunxian said that China give great importance to its friendly relations with Pakistan and considered it strategic partner.  He said that the leadership of both the countries was committed to bring the relations between Pakistan and China to new heights.  He said that closed interactions between Parliaments of both the countries would provide opportunities to the Parliamentarians to benefit from each other exposures. The delegation termed the recent visit of Prime Minister very successful.  They were of the view that the agreements signed between the two countries during this visit will prove fruitful for the people of both the countries.  The Vice Chairman Standing Committee NPC said that China wanted to see Pakistan a prosperous and developed Pakistan and assured all out support for its economic and social development.
