42^nd meeting of the Standing Committee on Housing and Works of the National Assembly was held today i.e 15^th February, 2018, in Committee Room No. 07, Parliament House, Islamabad, under the Chairmanship of Mian Abdul Mannan, MNA.

2.         The Committee approved the minutes of the last meeting held on 31^st January, 2018.

3.         The Committee considered the Calling Attention Notice No. 9 regarding policy decision of the government not to allot government accommodation in future to the employees of constitutional bodies move by Ms. Khalida Mansoor, MNA. However, it was informed by the Honourable Chairman that a Bill in this regard has been approved by the National Assembly.

4.         The Committee considered the Public Sector Development Program (PSDP), as required under the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in the National Assembly and recommended the projects presented by the Ministry of Housing and Works. The Committee also decided that the projects regarding dualization & improvement of Mandra-Chakwal road (64 Km), dualization & improvement of Sohawa-Chakwal road (66.405 Km) and Mosa Khail Tonsa Road (35 Km) strength road Zhob would be discussed in the upcoming meeting of the Committee.

5.         The Committee directed Ministry of Housing and Works to provide the details of cases registered against the employees of Housing and Works by the different agencies i.e. FIA and NAB.

6.         The meeting was attended by Mr. Ghulam Muhammad Lali, Ms. Khalida Mansoor, Ms. Nighat Parveen Mir, Mrs. Shahida Rehmani, and Ms. Naseema Hafeez Panezai, MNAs, besides the senior officer from Ministry of Housing and Works.
