Islamabad: October 18, 2017;  The Deputy Speaker National Assembly Murtaza Javed Abbasi has said that Pakistan gives immense importance to its cordial relations with Bulgaria and wanted to further strengthening the existing relations through enhance parliamentary and economic cooperation.  He expressed these views while talking to  Ambassador of Rebupblic Bulgaria Mr. Roumen Pirontchev who called on him in Parliament House on Wednesday. Ms Farhana Qamar Convener of Pak-Bulgaria Friend Ship Group in National Assembly was also present during the meeting.    

The Deputy Speaker underlined the need for enhancing parliamentary ties between parliaments of both the countries. He said that Pak-Bulgarian parliamentarians could build bridges of friendship and understanding between two states. He said that present government has created conducive environment for foreign investment by introducing various incentives and reforms in the economic sector. He said that there was immense potential of investment in  energy generation, oil exploration, trade and manufacturing sectors in Pakistan and  Bulgarian investors could be benefited from these  investment opportunities. He asked the Ambassador to Persuade the Bulgarian Business Community for investment in Pakistan. He underlined  the need for increase in volume of trade between the two countries.  

Ambassador Mr. Roumen Pirocchev has said that Bulgaria also values high its relations with Pakistan and desires to further strengthen the exiting  relation  through  people-to-people and parliamentary contacts. He said that Pakistan and Bulgaria have good potential to promote bilateral trade and economic relations in various sector. He said that Pakistan is an important country in region and it is a strong desire of his country to see Pakistan as a prosperous and stable country. He assured the Deputy Speaker of all out support of his country for economic development in Pakistan. He agreed for enhance interaction between the parliamentarians and business community of both the countries for strengthening bilateral relations.
