NHA and Motorways Police may improve the Road’s Safety Laws. Court cases, with foreign investors may be concluded soon

Islamabad the 10th July, 2017: Safety laws for National Highways and Motorways. NHA and Motorway Police should submit a piece of draft law for consideration of the Committee and for legislation by the Parliament, these instruction were given by the Standing Committee on Communication of National Assembly during its meeting held in the Parliament House.

The Committee asked the Ministry of Communications about the machinery available near the Burhan Laboratory. The Committee was informed that the machinery belonged to a Turkish Company while a Court Case is also in progress between NHA and the company for the last ten years. The Standing Committee directed that all such cases may properly be perused and got decided soon. The Standing Committee was informed that it has purchased some 800 kanals of land for a state of the art laboratory. It was informed to the Committee that, previously we used to follow the constructions standards of USA. Thereafter, it was thought that Pakistan should have its own standards because the environmental conditions of the Pakistan are different from that of USA. The Standing Committee was informed that JAICA has been informed about cooperation our laboratory and now Ministry of Communication has signed an agreement with China to improve the laboratory. The laboratory will not only fulfill the needs of the country but it will serve the region too. The Standing Committee was informed that Fort Minro, in the Hilly area of Balochistan, NHA has constructed the road on latest bridges which are example of its own. The meeting was attended by several MNAs and senior officers of NHA and Motorway Police.
