The Standing Committee on Water and Power deferred “The Indus River System Authority (Amendment) Bill, 2017” due to the absence of the Mover. The Committee decided to consider the said Bill in its next meeting. The meeting of the Standing Committee on Water and Power held today in Parliament House under the Acting Chairmanship of Mr. Muhammad Junaid Anwaar Chaudhary, MNA.

 The Committee also discussed the issue of non-payment of salaries to the officers/officials of Vigilance Directorate of WAPDA. The Committee was informed that the matter is sub-judice before the Honorable High Court and Ministry is trying to resolve the matter outside the Court. The Committee appreciated the efforts of the ministry for resolving the matter to avoid the unnecessary litigation.
