NA Speaker Pays Tribute To Martyrs Of Armed Forces Of 1965 War

Islamabad September 05, 2016: Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq has said that Pakistani nation is in debt to the sacrifices rendered by martyrs of the armed forces of the country who gave up their lives in 1965 war to secure and safeguard the frontiers of Pakistan and maintain the pride of the motherland. He remarked this in his special message delivered on the occasion of ‘Defence Day’ of Pakistan being commemorated on September 6. 

Sardar Ayaz Sadiq highlighted that on this day we pay tribute and homage to our heroes of armed forces who enlightened the spirit of honour and glory through their ultimate sacrifices. Recognizing the defence capacity of the men in uniform, the Speaker argued that we have a strong and firm belief in the enriched safeguarding capacity of the armed forces that can combat any resilience and aggression against our beloved homeland.  

He further added that Pak Army has witnessed commendable success in the operation Zarb-e-Azb despite of the critical challenges in fighting against terrorism and extremism. Subsequently the armed forces have won the hearts of nation which stands shoulder to shoulder with armed forces in the efforts to protect and safeguard the country from any aggression and terrorism, remarked by the Speaker.

Sardar Ayaz Sadiq applauded the unprecedented unity of the nation demonstrated by the people and armed forces on 6th September, 1965 that made this day memorable in the history. He further added that this was the time to pay tribute to brave, courageous and lionhearted individuals who embraced ‘Shahadat’ while fighting for the country and security of the nation.

The speaker highlighted that Pakistan is a peace loving country that envisions peace and stability in the region. To root out the menace of terrorism and extremism the armed forces of Pakistan are equipped with professional preparedness and modern day warfare to successfully frustrate the enemy designs at internal and external fronts, added by the Speaker.    

Sardar Ayaz Sadiq in his concluding remarks paid rich tribute to the Armed forces for rendering supreme services and added that the spirit, unity and commitment shown by nation and Pak army on this day 51 years ago could again be the guiding forces to surpass all the challenges faced by the country and take the nation to the new heights of development and stability.
