Islamabad; July 21, 2016:  A Delegation of Pak-US Business Forum to Pakistan headed by Mr. Hafeez Khan President of Pak-US Business Forum called on Acting Speaker, National Assembly Murtaza Javed Abbasi in Parliament House, today. The matters pertaining to Pak-US trade in context of and available investment opportunities in Pakistan were discussed during the meeting.

Talking to the delegation, Acting Speaker said that Pakistani expatriates were the real ambassador of the country and they have excelled the name of their motherland through their hard work and talent all over the world. He said that Pakistan and America are strategic partners and close cooperation exits between both the countries in diverse economic fields.

The Acting Speaker said that today’s Pakistan is different from June, 2013. He said that under sagacious leadership of Muhammad Nawaz Sharif the incumbent democratic setup in the country had led the nation on the path of progress and prosperity. He said that due to investment friendly policies of the present government, the foreign investment had rapidly increased in the country. He said that US Business Community could benefit from the ample investment opportunities generated by Pak-China Economic Corridor. He said that the terrorist activities in the country declined remarkably due to Operation Zarb-e-Azb which was started with the consensus of all the political forces of the country. He said that all the political parties in the Parliament are on the same page on the issues related to national interest. He asked the participants of delegation to play their due role in highlighting the real soft image of Pakistan in US and pursue US investors to invest in Pakistan. He appreciated the patriotism of the Pakistani community residing in US and assured all out cooperation at the government level in that regard.

Mr. Hafeez Khan, President Pak-US Business Forum thanked the Acting Speaker and appreciated the efforts of the government to curb the terrorism in the country. He also eulogized investment friendly policies of the government and told that Pakistani Business Community residing in America is keen to invest in Pakistan. He also assured the Acting Speaker of all out cooperation of PaK-US Business Forum to Pakistan to set up cardiac center at Ayub Medical Teaching Hospital, Abbottabad. He informed the Acting Speaker that the purpose of their recent visit to Pakistan was to explore available business opportunities in Pakistan including investment by US based individuals and business organizations.
