Islamabad, 1st February, 2016: A meeting of National Assembly Standing Committee on Defence met today in Committee Room No.7, 4th Floor, Parliament House, Islamabad, under the Chairmanship of Shaikh Rohale Asghar, MNA. The Committee discussed the Bill “The Pakistan Army (Second Amendment) Bill, 2015” in detail. The Committee after detailed discussion disapproved the proposed amendments in the said Bill unanimously. The Committee was also briefed by the Secretary M/o Defence on the recent visit of Chief of Army Staff to Afghanistan. After words the Committee also discussed the report of the Sub-Committee constituted under the Convener ship of Mr. Muhammad Ijaz-ul-Haq, MNA and adopted without any change.

The meeting was also attended by Mr. Isphanyar M. Bhandara, Ms. Surriya Asghar, Syed Mustafa Mahmood, Mr. Nawab Ali Wassan, Dr. Shireen Mehrunnisa Mazari, Mr. Sanjay Perwani, Ms. Kishwar Zehra, Mr. Muhammad Ijaz-ul-Haq, Mr. Muhammad Junaid Anwar Chaudhry, Lt. (Col) (Retd) Ghulam Rasul Sahi, Mr. Saeed Ahmed Khan Manais and Malik Muhammad Amir Dogar, Ms. Shahida AKhtar Ali (mover) MNAs and Officers/Officials of the Ministry.
