Pakistan Desires To Further Solidify Parliamentary and Economic Cooperation with Belarus:NA Speaker

Islamabad November 10, 2015:  Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq calls on the visiting Prime Minister of Belarus Mr. Andrei Kobyakov in Islamabad, today. Matters pertaining to mutual interest and economic and diplomatic cooperation were discussed.

Talking to NA Speaker, Prime Minister of Belarus expressed his desire to build congenial relations between Belarus and Pakistan through enhanced economic and diplomatic relations. He felicitated Sardar Ayaz Sadiq for being re-elected as the Speaker of the National Assembly of Pakistan and said that his election by the voting of overwhelming majority of the legislature reflects highest regard and trust in his persona as the custodian of house by the Parliament and also tantamount to a tribute to his services rendered for strengthening of democracy in Pakistan
 

He said that Belarus legislature keens to cement its ties with Parliament of Pakistan. He said that Belarus and Pakistani business communities were in regular contact and has inked various agreements for mutual cooperation.  He stressed the need for regular interaction between Parliamentarians of both countries and said that parliamentary engagement could play a pivotal role to bring both nations closer. Premier of Belarus appreciated Pakistan’s efforts in combating terrorism and extremism in the country.

Speaker Ayaz Sadiq observed that Pakistan-Belarus relations were becoming multifaceted and acquiring greater depth due to engagement of political hierarchies and business communities of both sides. He said that Pakistan considers Belarus a valuable friend and desires to further solidify parliamentary and economic cooperation with Belarus.

The Speaker said that constant engagement from either side has added depth to the existing relations and Parliament of Pakistan endeavors to strengthen the ties between the legislatures of two countries. He also called for diversification of the existing collaboration between both countries.
