Expatriates are Ambassadors of Pakistan: Says NA Speaker

Islamabad: March 24, 2015; Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, Speaker National Assembly has said that the expatriates are not Overseas Pakistanis but ambassadors of the country. He said that the government is committed for immediate resolving the problems of overseas Pakistanis. He expressed these views while meeting with a delegation of Overseas Pakistani from Middle East headed by Ch. Noor Ulhassan Tanvir in Parliament House, today. Deputy Speaker Murtaza Javed Abbasi was also present on the occasion.

He said that expatriate Pakistanis earn huge foreign exchange by dint of hard work and they have always been willing and able to play a meaningful role in progress and development of their country. The Speaker said that Pakistani living abroad can also play a vital role to be a bridge between the countries of their residence and Pakistan and contribute towards expansion of business, trade and cultural relations.

“Pakistan is facing many challenges but despite difficulties and obstacles, Pakistani nation will become a great nation”, he added. He also said that an atmosphere conducive to investment in the country has been created. He said that their investment in Pakistan would be save therefore they should investment in Pakistan without any fear. “Time is not far when Pakistan would become a great economic power and its image would be restored once again”, the Speaker added.

A number of distinguished Pakistani businessmen and other highly placed professionals living in Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar and GCC region attended the meeting. They explained their problems and difficulties where they are facing in Embassies and Airports as well. The Speaker assured the delegation that he will take up their issues at concerned quarters for solution.
