Active Involvement Of Youth In Politics Imperative To Address The Longstanding Challenges: NA Speaker

Islamabad: October 27, 2014; Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, Speaker National Assembly has underlined active involvement of youth in the national affairs and the political process for strengthening of the existing political system. He called for political education of youth which would be beneficial for themselves and the successive generations. He said this while addressing a 42 members group of 6th Youth Parliament Pakistan here today.
 
 
He said that this recreation of the parliamentary process has placed a unique obligation on each and every member of the Youth Parliament. He urged that as Representatives of the youth of Pakistan, it is incumbent upon them to carry forward the knowledge and experience they will have gained during the course of this valuable and extensive exercise, to their fellow youths across the country.
 
Sardar Ayaz Sadiq shared with the participants, the composition, working and functioning of the National Assembly and its Standing Committees. He also informed them about the steps taken for austerity measures in the secretariat while adopting the electrification requirements through solar energy with the support of donors and establishing paperless office with the assistance of development partners.
 

He also shared the proactive and vibrant Parliamentary Friendship Groups mechanism which has been established in National Assembly. The Speaker also responded to the various questions raised by the Youth Parliamentarians. They thanked the Speaker for enlightening them about the parliamentary procedures and practices besides providing them opportunity to visit Parliament House.
