Parliamentary Election Reforms Committee Meets

Islamabad, the 19th September, 2014 Parliamentary Election Reforms Committee held its 6th meeting to Consider. The meeting was held at Parliament House Islamabad reforms to be introduced in order to hold free and fair elections in transparent manner.

Among others it was attended by the Members of Election Reforms Committee Secretary ECP, representative of NADRA and PCSR.

The Pakistan Council of scientific and Industrial Research, gave detailed presentation to the meeting about ink  Magnetic and pad and indelible used by the election Staff. PCSR was only responsible for producing the Magnetic ink pad which was  and was handed over to the ECP, which was responsible for transportation to the destinations.

Members of the Election Reforms Committee questioned the PCSR about the quality of ink which become Controversial  and impacted the transparency of elections.

The Members also questioned the proper training of the election Staff which was not trained enough to use magnetic inc pad and indelible inks.      I

Prominent among those who attended were Mr. Zahid Hamid, MNA Ms Anusha Rehman, MNA Senator Mushahid Hussain and Mr. Naveed Qamar MNA.
