Islamabad: July 22, 2014; Murtaza Javed Abbasi, Deputy Speaker National Assembly has departed from Benazir Bhutto International Airport, Islamabad to Tehran today to attend the meeting of the Parliamentary Union of OIC Members Countries (PUIC) being held in Tehran, Iran on July 22, 2014.

During his stay in Tehran, he will participate in the meeting of the Parliamentary Union of OIC Members Countries (PUIC) on the ongoing brutalization and innocent killings being waged by the Zionist regime on the Palestinian people in Gaza Strip and Israeli occupied Palestinian territories.

The primary purpose of the meeting is not only to express solidarity with the Palestinian nation but also condemn the barbarism and flagrant violation of the international law by the Israeli forces.

In this meeting, Member Parliaments of the PUIC will urge international community and United Nations to take effective and appropriate political measures in order to stop the extensive killing of the innocent people of Gaza, destruction of their houses and their urban installations.
