Islamabad 7, July 2014: The meeting of the Standing Committee was held on 7th July 2014 at 2: pm parliament house Islamabad. The meeting was attended by Ms.Shahzadi Umerzadi Tiwana.Mr Muhammad Arif Ch. Mr. Shafqat Mahmood Moulana Muhammad Khan Sherani as members of the committee. The meeting was also attended by Mr. Sohail Shoukat Butt, MNA/Mover.

The Agenda of the meeting was to discussed the assurance given by the Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs on the floor of the House on 03rd February, 2014 in response to calling attention notice of Mr. Sher Akbar Khan, MNA regarding non-development of Sector E-12, Islamabad by the CDA despite lapse of twenty six years and also to discuss the assurance give by the Federal Minister for Petroleum and Natural Resources on the floor of the House on 29th July, 2013 in response to Calling Attention Notice given by Mr. Sohail Shoukat Butt, MNA, whereby the Huose was assured that action will be taken against the employees of SNGPL involved in the theft/pilfering of gas

During the course of meeting it was briefed by the Chairman CDA, the CDA board in its decision dated 12-02-2014 has approved disbursement of rehabilitation benefit to the affectees whose land has been acquired for the sector E-12 on analogy of the rehabilition benefit given to the affectees of D-12 land directrat accordingly has established site office in Sector E-12 for processing of rehabilitation benefit.

The officials of SNGPL briefed to the committee that the matter of theft was discussed in  detail 28th 2014. They also informd the committee that four employee (record keepers) of  SNGPL dismissed on 30th April 2014

Ms.Shahzadi Umerzadi Tiwana told the committee that their is shortage of  gas in the country and there is a sort of crisis and we are looking in to the matter in case of any problem she herself as well as Secretary SNGPL can be contacted at any time for resolving the problem.
