A meeting of Standing Committee on Communications was held under the Chairmanship of Mr. Sayan Yusuf, MNA on 25th June, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. in the Parliament House,

Islamabad. The following Members attended the meeting:-

2.         The agenda of the meeting was as under:-

i)          Briefing on Lowari Tunnel;

ii)         Any other item with permission of the Chair.

3.         The Chairman, National Highway Authority (NHA) briefed the Committee about I.owari Tunnel which is situated in between Darosh and Dir. M/s Geoconsult is the

Consultant and Mis SANIBU is the Contractor of the Project. The said Project started in September, 2005 and will be completed in September, 2017 with the cost of

Rs.9816 Million. 32 % work has been completed till now, he added.

4.         The meeting was attended by the Honourable Members of the Standing

Committee and the senior officers from M/o Communications and NHA.
