Islamabad, October 23, 2026: Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq has said that the complete eradication of polio is a national responsibility and that all segments of society must play their role in protecting children from this crippling disease. He urged parents to ensure that their children under five years of age receive polio drops during every polio vaccination campaign. He expressed these views in his message on the occasion of World Polio Day.

 

Speaker National Assembly said that polio is a dangerous disease that can leave children permanently disabled; however, it can be prevented through timely vaccination. He stated that the complete eradication of polio from Pakistan is a shared responsibility of the government and the public, requiring sustained efforts and public cooperation.

 

Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq said that parental cooperation is of fundamental importance to the success of ongoing national polio eradication campaigns. He emphasized that all eligible children must be vaccinated during every campaign to ensure that no child is left unprotected.

 

Speaker National Assembly urged religious scholars, teachers, the media, and other segments of society to play an effective role in raising public awareness about the importance of polio vaccination and dispelling misconceptions. He said that the goal of polio eradication could be achieved through public cooperation and coordinated efforts by the relevant institutions.

 

Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq paid tribute to the services of frontline polio workers who go door to door to vaccinate children. He also appreciated the sacrifices and services of security personnel deployed to protect polio teams, stating that the efforts of all those engaged in this national campaign against polio are commendable.

 

Speaker National Assembly reaffirmed the commitment to continuing nationwide efforts to make Pakistan polio-free. He appealed to the public to extend full cooperation to polio teams and ensure that their children are vaccinated to protect them from this crippling disease and safeguard the country's future.

اسلام آباد، 23 اکتوبر 2026ء: اسپیکر قومی اسمبلی سردار ایاز صادق نے کہا ہے کہ پولیو کا مکمل خاتمہ قومی ذمہ داری ہے اور بچوں کو اس موذی مرض سے محفوظ رکھنے کے لیے معاشرے کے تمام طبقات کو اپنا کردار ادا کرنا ہوگا۔ انہوں نے والدین پر زور دیا کہ وہ پانچ سال سے کم عمر کے اپنے بچوں کو ہر پولیو مہم کے دوران پولیو سے بچاؤ کے قطرے ضرور پلوائیں۔ ان خیالات کا اظہار انہوں نے انسدادِ پولیو کے عالمی دن کے موقع پر اپنے پیغام میں کیا۔ 

 

اسپیکر قومی اسمبلی نے کہا کہ پولیو ایک خطرناک مرض ہے جو بچوں کو عمر بھر کی معذوری سے دوچار کر سکتا ہے، تاہم بروقت ویکسینیشن کے ذریعے اس سے بچاؤ ممکن ہے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ پاکستان سے پولیو کا مکمل خاتمہ حکومت اور عوام کی مشترکہ ذمہ داری ہے اور اس مقصد کے حصول کے لیے مسلسل کوششوں اور عوامی تعاون کی ضرورت ہے۔

 

اسپیکرسردار ایاز صادق نے کہا کہ پولیو کے خاتمے کے لیے جاری قومی مہمات کی کامیابی میں والدین کا تعاون بنیادی اہمیت رکھتا ہے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ ہر پولیو مہم کے دوران تمام اہل بچوں کو ویکسین پلانا ضروری ہے تاکہ کوئی بچہ اس حفاظتی اقدام سے محروم نہ رہ جائے۔

 

اسپیکر قومی اسمبلی نے علمائے کرام، اساتذہ، ذرائع ابلاغ اور معاشرے کے دیگر طبقات پر زور دیا کہ وہ پولیو ویکسین کی اہمیت کے حوالے سے عوام میں شعور و آگاہی پیدا کرنے اور غلط فہمیوں کے خاتمے کے لیے اپنا مؤثر کردار ادا کریں۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ عوام کے تعاون اور متعلقہ اداروں کی مربوط کوششوں سے پولیو کے خاتمے کی منزل حاصل کی جا سکتی ہے۔

 

اسپیکرسردار ایاز صادق نے پولیو کے خاتمے کے لیے گھر گھر جا کر بچوں کو ویکسین پلانے والے فرنٹ لائن پولیو ورکرز کی خدمات کو خراجِ تحسین پیش کیا۔ انہوں نے پولیو ٹیموں کی حفاظت پر مامور سیکیورٹی اہلکاروں اور پولیو ورکرز کی قربانیوں اور خدمات کو بھی سراہا اور کہا کہ پولیو کے خلاف اس قومی جدوجہد میں مصروف تمام افراد کی کاوشیں قابلِ قدر ہیں۔

 

اسپیکر قومی اسمبلی نے اس عزم کا اعادہ کیا کہ پاکستان کو پولیو سے پاک بنانے کے لیے قومی سطح پر کوششیں جاری رکھی جائیں گی۔ انہوں نے عوام سے اپیل کی کہ وہ پولیو ٹیموں کے ساتھ بھرپور تعاون کریں اور اپنے بچوں کو پولیو سے محفوظ رکھنے کے لیے ویکسینیشن کو یقینی بنائیں تاکہ ملک کے مستقبل کو اس موذی مرض سے محفوظ بنایا جا سکے۔
