Islamabad, September 22, 2026: Speaker National Assembly, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, has congratulated the newly elected office-bearers of the Video Journalists Association following the recently held elections. Congratulating Kashif Abbasi on his election as President of the Video Journalists Association, Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq said that leading the association is an important responsibility. He expressed hope that Kashif Abbasi would fulfil this responsibility effectively and play a constructive role in addressing the professional concerns of video journalists and protecting their professional rights.

 

The Speaker also congratulated Rizwan Rao on his election as General Secretary, Khurram Roshan as Finance Secretary, Anees-ur-Rehman and Zulqarnain Rao as Vice Presidents, and Mehboob-ur-Rehman as Joint Secretary. He also congratulated Wajid (VOA), Khakan Ahmed, Atiq, Faheem Raja and Muhammad Sajjad on their election as members of the Association’s Governing Body.

 

Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq said that video journalists are performing important responsibilities in the field of journalism and play a significant role in providing timely and effective information to the public. He expressed hope that the newly elected office-bearers would play an effective role in addressing the professional concerns of video journalists, protecting their rights, and promoting greater cooperation within the journalist community.

 

The Speaker extended his best wishes to newly elected President of the Video Journalists Association Kashif Abbasi and other office-bearers and prayed that Allah Almighty may grant them success in fulfilling their responsibilities.
