Islamabad,11th September 2026: Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq has expressed deep grief and sorrow over the passing away of former Federal Minister, Chairman of the Standing Committee on Law and Justice, and Member of the National Assembly, Chaudhry Mahmood Bashir Virk.

 

In his condolence message, the Speaker extended his heartfelt sympathies and condolences to the bereaved family.He said that the news of Chaudhry Mahmood Bashir Virk’s demise was deeply saddening and a great loss. He described the deceased parliamentarian as a competent, sincere, and dedicated political and parliamentary figure who rendered valuable services throughout his political and parliamentary career.

 

The Speaker said that Chaudhry Mahmood Bashir Virk made commendable contributions to legislation, promotion of democratic values, supremacy of Parliament, and the welfare of the people. He paid tribute to his parliamentary, political, and social services, saying that his contributions would be remembered for a long time.

 

Sardar Ayaz Sadiq said that with the demise of Chaudhry Mahmood Bashir Virk, the National Assembly had lost an experienced and active parliamentarian.

 

The Speaker said that he stood with the bereaved family in this hour of grief and shared their sorrow. He prayed to Allah Almighty to elevate the ranks of the departed soul and grant patience and fortitude to the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss.
