Islamabad, 4 September 2026: On the special directives of Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, a mock fire drill was conducted at Parliament House to prepare for a possible fire incident, review existing safety measures, and assess emergency response capabilities.
Officials of the Capital Development Authority (CDA), ICT Fire Brigade, Security Staff of the Senate and National Assembly, and other relevant personnel participated in the exercise and performed their respective duties.
During the drill, the fire alarm was sounded at Parliament House, following which employees and staff present in the building evacuated the premises through designated emergency exit routes in accordance with the prescribed safety procedures and moved to safe locations.
The exercise included a practical assessment of emergency evacuation procedures, firefighting and rescue arrangements, and coordination and cooperation among the relevant institutions in responding to an emergency situation.
On the occasion, the Fire Brigade and security personnel performed their respective responsibilities in accordance with the prescribed SOPs for dealing with emergency situations, while the safe and orderly evacuation of employees was also assessed.
The primary objective of the drill was to further strengthen emergency safety measures at Parliament House, ensure the safety of employees, officers and other persons present in the building, and facilitate an immediate and organised response in the event of any possible untoward situation.
The exercise also provided an opportunity to review existing safety arrangements, coordination mechanisms and evacuation procedures to ensure timely and effective action whenever required.

اسلام آباد، 4 ستمبر 2026: اسپیکر قومی اسمبلی سردار ایاز صادق کی خصوصی ہدایت پر پارلیمنٹ ہاؤس میں کسی بھی ہنگامی صورتحال، بالخصوص آتشزدگی کے ممکنہ واقعے سے مؤثر انداز میں نمٹنے، حفاظتی اقدامات کا جائزہ لینے اور متعلقہ اداروں کی ہنگامی ردِعمل کی صلاحیتوں کو جانچنے کے لیے موک فائر ڈرل کی عملی مشق کا انعقاد کیا گیا۔
موک فائر ڈرل کی مشق کیپٹل ڈویلپمنٹ اتھارٹی (سی ڈی اے) کے زیر اہتمام کی گئی، جس میں سی ڈی اے، فائر بریگیڈ، سینیٹ اور قومی اسمبلی کے سیکیورٹی اسٹاف سمیت متعلقہ عملے نے بھرپور حصہ لیا۔
موک فائر ڈرل کی مشق کے دوران پارلیمنٹ ہاؤس میں فائر سائرن بجایا گیا، جس کے بعد عمارت میں موجود ملازمین اور عملے نے مقررہ حفاظتی طریقہ کار کے مطابق عمارت کے ہنگامی اخراج کے راستوں کے ذریعے عمارت کو خالی کیا اور محفوظ مقامات پر منتقل ہوگئے۔
موک فائر ڈرل کے دوران ہنگامی انخلا، عمارت کو بروقت خالی کرانے، فائر فائٹنگ اور ریسکیو کے انتظامات سمیت ہنگامی صورتحال میں متعلقہ اداروں کے باہمی رابطہ اور تعاون کا عملی جائزہ لیا گیا۔
اس موقع پر فائر بریگیڈ اور سیکیورٹی عملے نے ہنگامی صورتحال سے نمٹنے کے لیے مقررہ ایس او پیز کے تحت اپنی ذمہ داریاں انجام دیں، جبکہ عمارت سے ملازمین کے محفوظ اور منظم انخلا کو یقینی بنانے کے لیے بھی عملی مشق کی گئی۔
فائر ڈرل کا بنیادی مقصد پارلیمنٹ ہاؤس میں موجود ملازمین، افسران اور دیگر افراد کی حفاظت کو یقینی بنانے کے لیے ہنگامی حفاظتی اقدامات کو مزید مؤثر بنانا اور کسی بھی ممکنہ ناخوشگوار صورتحال کی صورت میں فوری اور منظم ردِعمل کو یقینی بنانا تھا۔
مشق کے دوران ہنگامی صورتحال سے نمٹنے کے لیے موجود حفاظتی انتظامات، باہمی رابطہ کاری اور انخلا کے طریقہ کار کا بھی جائزہ لیا گیا، تاکہ ضرورت پڑنے پر بروقت اور مؤثر اقدامات کیے جا سکیں۔
