Islamabad, August 13, 2026: Deputy Speaker National Assembly, Syed Ghulam Mustafa Shah, has extended his heartfelt felicitations to the nation on the occasion of the 79th Anniversary of Independence Day of Pakistan, saying that Pakistan is the result of the unparalleled struggle, countless sacrifices, determination and perseverance of our forefathers. He said that the occasion provides an opportunity to renew our pledge to work collectively for the security, sovereignty, democratic stability and economic development of Pakistan.

 

The Deputy Speaker said that the vision and teachings of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and Allama Muhammad Iqbal remain a guiding light for the nation. He said that it is our national responsibility to build a Pakistan in accordance with their principles and teachings, where the supremacy of the Constitution, rule of law, democratic values, social justice, equality and protection of citizens’ fundamental rights are ensured.

 

Paying tribute to the Founders of Pakistan, leaders of the Pakistan Movement, women, youth, elders and the people for their historic struggle and countless sacrifices, the Deputy Speaker said that the creation of Pakistan was the culmination of a long and historic struggle in which every segment of society played its part. He said that women stood shoulder to shoulder with men during the Pakistan Movement and strengthened the struggle through their determination, courage and spirit of patriotism, while the youth also made a significant contribution to the struggle for the creation of Pakistan with their enthusiasm, passion and commitment. Elders and citizens also played their part in bringing the struggle to fruition through their exemplary courage and sacrifices. He said that the services and sacrifices of the Founders of Pakistan and all leaders and workers of the Pakistan Movement are a precious part of the nation’s history and will always be remembered with the highest respect and gratitude.

 

Deputy Speaker Syed Ghulam Mustafa Shah said that Pakistan can effectively overcome the challenges it faces only by promoting national unity, mutual respect, political tolerance and a sense of collective responsibility. He said that difference of opinion is the essence of democracy; however, consensus and unity on matters of national interest must always be given priority.

 

The Deputy Speaker said that the entire nation pays tribute to the martyrs who made the ultimate sacrifice for the security and defence of Pakistan. He said that the sacrifices of the martyrs further strengthen the nation’s resolve and spirit of patriotism, and the nation will never forget the sacrifices of its heroes.

 

The Deputy Speaker said that Parliament would continue to play its constitutional role in strengthening democracy, upholding the supremacy of the Constitution and rule of law, promoting public welfare and fostering national unity. He said that all segments of society must work together in the spirit of national responsibility for the progress, prosperity and development of Pakistan.

 

On the occasion, the Deputy Speaker paid tribute to the people of Kashmir and Palestine for their continued struggle for the right to self-determination and their countless sacrifices. He said that Pakistan would continue to extend its moral, political and diplomatic support to its Kashmiri and Palestinian brethren. He expressed the hope that the struggle of the Kashmiri and Palestinian people for freedom and the right to self-determination would soon succeed, enabling them to attain freedom, justice, lasting peace and their legitimate rights.

 

Syed Ghulam Mustafa Shah prayed to Almighty Allah to bless Pakistan with peace, stability, progress and prosperity and to grant the Pakistani nation the strength and wisdom to work with unity, harmony and sincerity for the development and progress of the country. He also prayed for the elevation of the ranks of the Founders of Pakistan and the martyrs who rendered countless sacrifices during the Pakistan Movement.

اسلام آباد، 13 اگست 2026ء: ڈپٹی اسپیکر قومی اسمبلی سید غلام مصطفیٰ شاہ نے قوم کو پاکستان کے 79ویں یومِ آزادی کے موقع پر دلی مبارکباد پیش کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ پاکستان ہمارے اسلاف کی بے مثال جدوجہد، لازوال قربانیوں، عزم اور استقامت کا ثمر ہے۔ یومِ آزادی ہمیں اس عہد کی تجدید کا موقع فراہم کرتا ہے کہ ہم پاکستان کی سلامتی، خودمختاری، جمہوری استحکام اور معاشی ترقی کے لیے متحد ہو کر اپنا کردار ادا کریں گے۔

 

ڈپٹی اسپیکر سید غلام مصطفیٰ شاہ نے کہا کہ قائداعظم محمد علی جناحؒ اور علامہ محمد اقبالؒ کے افکار ہمارے لیے مشعلِ راہ ہیں۔ ان کے اصولوں اور تعلیمات کی روشنی میں ایسا پاکستان تشکیل دینا ہماری قومی ذمہ داری ہے جہاں آئین کی بالادستی، قانون کی حکمرانی، جمہوری اقدار، سماجی انصاف، مساوات اور شہریوں کے بنیادی حقوق کا تحفظ یقینی بنایا جائے۔

 

ڈپٹی اسپیکر نے بانیانِ پاکستان، تحریکِ آزادی کے رہنماؤں، خواتین، نوجوانوں، بزرگوں اور عوام کی عظیم جدوجہد اور لازوال قربانیوں کو خراجِ تحسین پیش کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ قیامِ پاکستان ایک طویل اور تاریخی جدوجہد کا نتیجہ ہے جس میں معاشرے کے ہر طبقے نے اپنی بساط کے مطابق بھرپور کردار ادا کیا۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ تحریکِ آزادی کے دوران خواتین نے مردوں کے شانہ بشانہ بھرپور کردار ادا کیا اور اپنے عزم، حوصلے اور جذبۂ حب الوطنی سے تحریکِ آزادی کو تقویت دی، جبکہ نوجوانوں نے بھی اپنے جوش، ولولے اور عزم کے ساتھ قیامِ پاکستان کی جدوجہد میں نمایاں حصہ لیا۔ بزرگوں اور عام شہریوں نے بھی بے مثال حوصلے اور قربانیوں کے ذریعے اس جدوجہد کو کامیابی سے ہمکنار کرنے میں اپنا حصہ ڈالا۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ بانیانِ پاکستان اور تحریکِ آزادی کے تمام رہنماؤں اور کارکنوں کی خدمات و قربانیاں ہماری قومی تاریخ کا قیمتی اثاثہ ہیں، جنہیں قوم ہمیشہ قدر و احترام کی نگاہ سے یاد رکھے گی۔

 

ڈپٹی اسپیکر سید غلام مصطفیٰ شاہ نے کہا کہ قومی اتحاد، باہمی احترام، سیاسی برداشت اور اجتماعی ذمہ داری کے جذبے کو فروغ دے کر ہی پاکستان کو درپیش چیلنجز کا مؤثر مقابلہ کیا جا سکتا ہے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ اختلافِ رائے جمہوریت کا حسن ہے، تاہم قومی مفاد کے معاملات پر اتفاقِ رائے اور اتحاد کو ہر صورت مقدم رکھا جانا چاہیے۔

 

ڈپٹی اسپیکر قومی اسمبلی نے کہا کہ پاکستان کی سلامتی اور دفاع کے لیے اپنی جانوں کا نذرانہ پیش کرنے والے شہداء کی قربانیوں کو پوری قوم خراجِ عقیدت پیش کرتی ہے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ شہداء کی قربانیاں ہمارے قومی عزم اور جذبۂ حب الوطنی کو مزید مضبوط کرتی ہیں اور قوم اپنے محسنوں کی قربانیوں کو کبھی فراموش نہیں کرے گی۔

 

ڈپٹی اسپیکر قومی اسمبلی نے کہا کہ پارلیمان ملک میں جمہوریت کے استحکام، آئین کی بالادستی، قانون کی حکمرانی، عوامی فلاح اور قومی یکجہتی کے فروغ کے لیے اپنا آئینی کردار بھرپور انداز میں ادا کرتی رہے گی۔ پاکستان کی ترقی اور خوشحالی کے لیے تمام طبقات کو قومی جذبے کے تحت متحد ہوکر کام کرنا ہوگا۔

 

اس موقع پر ڈپٹی اسپیکر قومی اسمبلی نے کشمیری اور فلسطینی عوام کی حقِ خودارادیت کے لیے جاری جدوجہد اور ان کی لازوال قربانیوں کو خراجِ تحسین پیش کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ پاکستان اپنے کشمیری اور فلسطینی بھائیوں کی اخلاقی، سیاسی اور سفارتی حمایت جاری رکھے گا۔ انہوں نے اس امید کا اظہار کیا کہ کشمیری اور فلسطینی عوام کی آزادی اور حقِ خودارادیت کے لیے جاری جدوجہد جلد کامیابی سے ہمکنار ہوگی اور انہیں آزادی، انصاف، پائیدار امن اور ان کے جائز حقوق میسر آئیں گے۔

 

ڈپٹی اسپیکر سید غلام مصطفیٰ شاہ نے اللہ تعالیٰ سے پاکستان کو امن، استحکام، ترقی اور خوشحالی عطا فرمانے، پاکستانی قوم کو اتحاد، اتفاق اور اخلاص کے ساتھ وطنِ عزیز کی تعمیر و ترقی کے لیے کام کرنے کی توفیق عطا فرمانے کی دعا کی۔ انہوں نے بانیانِ پاکستان اور تحریکِ آزادی کے لیے لازوال قربانیاں پیش کرنے والے شہداء کے درجات کی بلندی کے لیے بھی دعا کی۔
