Ambassadors of Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan call on NA Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq

Islamabad, 28th July 2026: The Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Mr. Yerzhan Kistafin, and the Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Khazar Farhadov called on Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq at Parliament House, Islamabad.
 
During his meeting with Ambassador Yerzhan Kistafin, the Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq appreciated the Ambassador's valuable contribution towards strengthening Pakistan–Kazakhstan relations and acknowledged his efforts in promoting bilateral cooperation. The Speaker also noted that the historical ties between Pakistan and Kazakhstan are founded on mutual trust and respect and stressed the need to further aa underscored the importance of parliamentary diplomacy in strengthening bilateral relations and fostering closer people-to-people contacts. Referring to the recent visit of the President of Kazakhstan, H.E. Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, to Pakistan, the Speaker said the visit had opened new avenues for bilateral cooperation. Ambassador Kistafin thanked the Speaker for his kind remarks, appreciated Pakistan's efforts for the peaceful resolution of international disputes, and stated that the respect, warmth and cooperation he received during his tenure in Pakistan would always remain a cherished memory.
 
Later on, In his separate meeting with Ambassador Khazar Farhadov, the Speaker congratulated the Ambassador on the successful completion of his tenure and commended his services in further deepening Pakistan–Azerbaijan relations. The discussions focused on the fraternal ties, bilateral cooperation and issues of mutual interest between the two countries. Speaker Ayaz Sadiq expressed satisfaction over the continued growth in bilateral relations and noted that Pakistan and Azerbaijan enjoy brotherly relations based on mutual respect and shared values. He highlighted the importance of expanding parliamentary cooperation and strengthening people-to-people contacts, adding that both countries have consistently supported each other's positions at regional and international parliamentary forums. The Speaker also noted that the increasing number of Pakistani students studying in Azerbaijan reflects the growing public-level engagement between the two nations. Ambassador Khazar Farhadov thanked the Speaker for his appreciation and expressed gratitude to the Government and the people of Pakistan for the warmth and hospitality extended to him during his diplomatic tenure. He also appreciated the Speaker's efforts in promoting parliamentary cooperation between the two countries and expressed confidence that Pakistan–Azerbaijan relations would continue to flourish in the years ahead.
