Islamabad, 18th June 2026: Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq has warmly welcomed the signing of the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding between the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran, describing it as a landmark diplomatic breakthrough that has resulted in the extension of the ceasefire agreement between US and Iran. Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq has extended his heartfelt felicitations to the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif; the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Senator Ishaq Dar; the Chief of Defence Forces, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir; the Federal Minister for Interior, Senator Mohsin Raza Naqvi; and the officers and officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan on the successful signing of the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding between the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran. 

 

NA Speaker further congratulated PM Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on successfully facilitating and signing the Islamabad MOU as a mediator. He stated that the Prime Minister's statesmanship, diplomatic vision, and unwavering commitment to regional & international peace have earned Pakistan international recognition as a credible and trusted partner in conflict resolution and peacebuilding efforts. He also commended CDF Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir for his strategic foresight, steadfast support, and invaluable contributions towards fostering dialogue and consensus among the concerned parties.

 

Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq has commended the leadership of the President of the United States, Donald J. Trump, and Vice President J.D. Vance for their statesmanship and commitment to constructive engagement. He also conveyed his appreciation to the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei, President Masoud Pezeshkian, and Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, for their wisdom, cooperation, and dedication to pursuing dialogue in the interest of regional and international peace. 

 

Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq stated that the Islamabad MOU has resulted in the cessation of hostilities, and the re-opening of the Strait of Hormuz for international trade and economic activity. He stated that the agreement has helped address a crisis that had generated significant regional and global socio-economic challenges, disrupted international trade routes, heightened uncertainty in energy markets, and threatened broader international stability. He termed the Islamabad MOU a historic achievement of Pakistan's political and military leadership. He expressed confidence that the agreement will lay the foundation for durable and long-lasting peace, regional stability, economic recovery, and enhanced international cooperation, while reinforcing the principle that dialogue and diplomacy remain the most effective instruments for resolving conflicts and preventing escalation. 

 

Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq stated that Pakistan's successful mediation of the Islamabad MOU reflects the country's longstanding commitment to peaceful conflict resolution, mutual respect among nations, and the promotion of regional and global harmony. He remarked that this historic diplomatic achievement has further enhanced Pakistan's stature and credibility within the international community. 

 

NA Speaker extended heartfelt felicitation to the people of Pakistan on this remarkable diplomatic accomplishment and stated that the Islamabad MOU stands as a testament to Pakistan's growing influence as a responsible and effective advocate for peace, dialogue, and international cooperation.

اسلام آباد، 18 جون 2026ء: اسپیکر قومی اسمبلی سردار ایاز صادق نے امریکہ اور اسلامی جمہوریہ ایران کے درمیان اسلام آباد مفاہمتی یادداشت پر دستخط کا خیرمقدم کرتے ہوئے اسے ایک تاریخی سفارتی پیش رفت قرار دیا ہے، جس کے نتیجے میں امریکہ اور ایران کے درمیان جنگ بندی کے معاہدے میں توسیع ممکن ہوئی ہے۔ اسپیکر سردار ایاز صادق نے وزیراعظم پاکستان محمد شہباز شریف، نائب وزیراعظم و وزیر خارجہ سینیٹر اسحاق ڈار، چیف آف ڈیفنس فورسز فیلڈ مارشل سید عاصم منیر، وفاقی وزیر داخلہ سینیٹر محسن رضا نقوی اور وزارتِ خارجہ پاکستان کے افسران و اہلکاروں کو اسلام آباد مفاہمتی یادداشت کی کامیاب تکمیل اور دستخط پر مبارکباد پیش کی۔

 

اسپیکر سردار ایاز صادق نے وزیراعظم محمد شہباز شریف کو بطور ثالث اسلام آباد مفاہمتی یادداشت کی کامیاب سہولت کاری اور معاہدے کو حتمی شکل دینے پر خصوصی مبارکباد دیتے ہوئے کہا کہ وزیراعظم کی مدبرانہ قیادت، دور اندیش سفارت کاری اور علاقائی و عالمی امن کے لیے غیر متزلزل عزم نے پاکستان کو تنازعات کے پرامن حل اور قیامِ امن کے حوالے سے ایک معتبر اور قابلِ اعتماد ملک کے طور پر عالمی سطح پر مزید نمایاں کیا ہے۔ انہوں نے چیف آف ڈیفنس فورسز فیلڈ مارشل سید عاصم منیر کی بصیرت افروز قیادت اور متعلقہ فریقین کے درمیان مفاہمت اور اتفاقِ رائے پیدا کرنے میں ان کے گراں قدر کردار کو بھی سراہا۔

 

اسپیکر سردار ایاز صادق نے امریکہ کے صدر ڈونلڈ ٹرمپ اور نائب صدر جے ڈی وینس کی قیادت، دانشمندانہ طرزِ عمل اور تعمیری سفارتی روابط کے فروغ کے لیے ان کے عزم کو خراجِ تحسین پیش کیا۔ انہوں نے اسلامی جمہوریہ ایران کے سپریم لیڈر آیت اللہ سید مجتبیٰ حسینی خامنہ ای، صدر مسعود پزشکیان اور اسلامی مشاورتی اسمبلی کے اسپیکر محمد باقر قالیباف کی حکمت، تعاون اور امن و استحکام کے فروغ کے لیے ان کی کاوشوں کو بھی سراہا۔

 

اسپیکر قومی اسمبلی نے کہا کہ اسلام آباد مفاہمتی یادداشت کے نتیجے میں خطے میں کشیدگی کا خاتمہ ممکن ہوا ہے اور آبنائے ہرمز کو بین الاقوامی تجارت اور اقتصادی سرگرمیوں کے لیے دوبارہ کھول دیا گیا ہے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ یہ معاہدہ ایسے بحران کے خاتمے کی جانب ایک اہم قدم ہے جس نے نہ صرف خطے بلکہ پوری دنیا میں سماجی و معاشی چیلنجز کو جنم دیا، بین الاقوامی تجارتی راستوں کو متاثر کیا، توانائی کی عالمی منڈیوں میں غیر یقینی صورتحال پیدا کی اور عالمی استحکام کو خطرات سے دوچار کیا۔

 

اسپیکر سردار ایاز صادق نے اسلام آباد مفاہمتی یادداشت کو پاکستان کی سیاسی اور عسکری قیادت کی ایک تاریخی کامیابی قرار دیتے ہوئے کہا کہ یہ معاہدہ پائیدار اور دیرپا امن، علاقائی استحکام، معاشی بحالی اور بین الاقوامی تعاون کے فروغ کی مضبوط بنیاد فراہم کرے گا۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ اس پیش رفت سے ثابت ہوتا ہے کہ مذاکرات، سفارت کاری اور باہمی احترام کے ذریعے تنازعات کا حل اور کشیدگی کا خاتمے ممکن ہے۔

 

اسپیکر سردار ایاز صادق نے کہا کہ اسلام آباد مفاہمتی یادداشت میں پاکستان کی کامیاب ثالثی ملک کے اس دیرینہ مؤقف کی عکاس ہے جس کے تحت پاکستان ہمیشہ تنازعات کے پرامن حل، اقوام کے مابین باہمی احترام اور علاقائی و عالمی ہم آہنگی کے فروغ کا داعی رہا ہے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ اس تاریخی سفارتی کامیابی نے عالمی برادری میں پاکستان کے وقار، ساکھ اور اعتماد کو مزید مستحکم کیا ہے۔

 

اسپیکر قومی اسمبلی نے اس غیر معمولی سفارتی کامیابی پر پاکستانی قوم کو مبارکباد پیش کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ اسلام آباد مفاہمتی یادداشت عالمی امن، مکالمے اور بین الاقوامی تعاون کے فروغ کے لیے پاکستان کے بڑھتے ہوئے کردار کا واضح مظہر ہے اور یہ معاہدہ دنیا میں امن و استحکام کے قیام کے لیے پاکستان کی مثبت اور تعمیری کوششوں کا عملی ثبوت ہے۔

 

اسپیکر سردار ایاز صادق نے برادر ممالک سعودی عرب، ترکیہ، قطر اور مصر کی قیادت اور حکومتوں کی سفارتی معاونت اور تعمیری کردار کو سراہتے ہوئے کہا کہ ان ممالک کی کوششوں نے مذاکرات کے لیے سازگار ماحول پیدا کرنے اور فریقین کو قریب لانے میں اہم کردار ادا کیا۔
