Islamabad: Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq has expressed deep sorrow  over the demise of renowned journalist, writer, and founder of Urdu Digest, Altaf Hassan Qureshi.

The Speaker paid rich tribute to the late Altaf Hassan Qureshi for his outstanding contributions to journalism, literature, and national intellectual discourse. He stated that the services rendered by the deceased for journalism, literature, and the promotion of national consciousness are unforgettable.

Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq remarked that Altaf Hassan Qureshi, through his principled journalism and intellectual guidance, mentored and inspired several generations. He further stated that with his passing, the world of journalism and academia has lost a wise and visionary personality.

The Speaker said that the journalistic, literary, and intellectual contributions of Altaf Hassan Qureshi would always be remembered.

Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq also extended heartfelt condolences and sympathies to the bereaved family. He stated that he equally shares the grief of the mourning family in this difficult time.
 

The Speaker prayed for the eternal peace and elevated ranks of the departed soul and for patience and strength for the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss.
