Islamabad: 12th May 2026: Deputy Speaker National Assembly Syed Ghulam Mustafa Shah chaired a meeting of the Standing Committee on House and Library at the Parliament House regarding the completion of additional 104 family suites at the Parliament Lodges.

 

The committee meeting reviewed the progress on the construction and completion of the family suites and discussed matters relating to the management and upkeep of the Parliament Lodges. Senior officers of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) briefed the Committee on the ongoing work and informed the participants that the 104 family suites at the Parliament Lodges would be completed by June 2026.

 

Speaking during the meeting, Deputy Speaker Syed Ghulam Mustafa Shah stressed that the completion of the family suites should ensure the best utilization of public money while maintaining the highest standards of construction and facilities. He emphasized that transparency, quality, and timely completion of the project should remain top 

 

The Committee also stressed the need for effective management and proper maintenance of the Parliament Lodges to ensure a conducive and secure environment for the residents. Members of the Committee highlighted the importance of improving administrative arrangements and ensuring the provision of necessary facilities at the lodges.

 

The issue of installation of CCTV cameras at the MNA Hostel and matters relating to its security were also discussed during the meeting. The Committee emphasized the importance of strengthening security arrangements and ensuring enhanced surveillance measures for the safety and security of residents and visitors.

 

The meeting concluded with directions to the concerned authorities to ensure timely completion of the project and maintain high standards in all aspects of construction, management, and security arrangements.
