NA Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq Congratulates Mr. Tarique Rehman on Becoming Prime Minister of Bangladesh

Islamabad, February 17, 2026; Speaker National Assembly of Pakistan, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq has extended heartfelt congratulations to the newly elected Prime Minister of Bangladesh, Mr. Tarique Rahman, on assuming office.
 
Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq conveyed his best wishes for the newly elected PM Tariq Rahman’s success and expressed confidence that Bangladesh will achieve new milestones of development, prosperity, and stability under his leadership.
 
Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq stated that the election of Mr. Tarique Rahman as Prime Minister is a positive development and expressed optimism that his leadership will further strengthen bilateral relations between Pakistan and Bangladesh.
 
Highlighting the longstanding historical, cultural, and people-to-people ties between the two brotherly countries, NA Speaker emphasized that enhanced cooperation and strengthened parliamentary engagement can bring the two brotherly nations closer.
 
Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq underscored the importance of expanding bilateral relations on the basis of mutual respect, shared interests, and the promotion of regional peace and stability.
 
Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq also conveyed his sincere prayers for the continued progress and prosperity of the people of Bangladesh and extended his best wishes to Prime Minister Tarique Rahman in the discharge of his responsibilities.
