Sense of Worth and Self Respect for All of Us: Says NA Speaker

Islamabad: December 17, 2013; Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, Speaker National Assembly has said that the Parliament and Government are fully aware of the needs of special people and has taken numerous steps to provide equal opportunities to the special persons. He expressed these views while meeting with a group of special persons headed by Syed Sardar Ahmed Piracha, the first blind journalist of Pakistan in Parliament House, today. Ms. Kishwer Zehra, MNA was also present on the occasion.

Speaker said that we are determined to make Pakistan a place where everyone has the same opportunities to participate in all walks of life with dignity and self-esteem. We aim to promote a better understanding of disability issues with a focus on the rights of persons with disabilities and gains to be derived from the integration of persons with disabilities in every aspect of the political, social, economic and cultural life of their communities” he added. 

In Pakistan, we are committed to build a hopeful future for all segments of our society including the ones with disability. “Our challenge is to provide all people with the equality of access they need and deserve. Ultimately, this will create a better world for all” he urged. Earlier he welcomed the entire group in the Parliament House and asked them to provide feedback about their visit.
