Islamabad: March 31, 2014; Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, Speaker and Murtaza Javed Abbasi, Deputy Speaker, National Assembly have congratulated Sirajul Haq on his election as Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami. 

In their separate statements, the Speaker and Deputy Speaker said that the election of Mr. Sirajul Haq was the evidence of trust and confidence of members (Arakans) of Jamaat-e-Islami reposed in his leadership. They express the hope that newly elected Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami will play a pragmatic role for promotion of democratic values and strengthening democratic institutions in the country. They prayed for his success.
