Islamabad, 13thNovember, 2019; 11th meeting of the Standing Committee on Interior was held today under the Chairmanship of Raja Khurram Shahzad Nawaz, MNA in Committee Room of National Data Base Registration Authority (NADRA) Headquarters, G-5,Islamabad.
2.  The meeting commenced with recitation from the Holy Quran. The bill titled “the Mutual Legal Assistance (Criminal Matter) Bill, 2019” was passed by the Committee. Remaining Bills on the agenda were deferred till next meeting due to the absence of the movers.

3.  Committee raised question about criteria for issuance of SehatInsafCards, it has been observed that welloff citizenswere also issued Sehat Insaf Cards. The Committee required briefing by Chairman NADRA regarding the survey conducted by NADRAfor issuance of the cards. Moreover, it was also pointed out that people are facing hardship due to process involved in minor change/correction in their CNICs. The Committee desired briefing on this issue by the NADRA.
 
4.  Honorable Members/MNAs/MoversMr. Sher Akbar Khan, Mr. Rahat Aman Ullah Bhatti, Malik Karamat Ali Khokhar, SardarTalib Hassan Nakai, Syed Iftikhar Ul Hassan Mr. Nadeem Abbas, Syed Agha Rafiullh, Nawab Muhammad YousufTalpur, Mr. Abdul Qadir Patel, and the senior officers from the Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Law and Justice, FIA and ICT attended the meeting.
