MP Mr Afzal Khan, Vice Chair Of All Party Kashmir Parliamentary Group In House Of Commons Called On Syed Fakhar Imam

(Islamabad, Monday the 16th September, 2019) MP Mr. Afzal Khan, Vice Chair of All Party Kashmir Parliamentary Group in House of Commons and Rana Athar Javed, DG, Pakistan House (an Institute of International and Cultural Affairs) called on Syed Fakhar Imam, Chairman Parliamentary Committee on Kashmir at Parliament House.
 
2.  After welcoming remarks the Chairman apprised the latest situation of Kashmir and different activities being done at the level of Committee and Parliament to further strengthen and promote the principled stand of Pakistan for the right of the self-determination to Kashmiris around the world and particularly highlighting the unprecedented human rights violation and atrocities committed by Indian armed forces during the last few years which were also mentioned in the UNHCR reports consecutively published during 2018-19. Now, there is need to keep to this momentum until the Kashmiris got their birth right of right of self-determination.
 
3. Mr. Afzal Khan also shared with the Chairman, the activities of All Party Kashmir Parliamentary Group in House of Commons as well as Kashmiris and Pakistani communities during the last few weeks. According to Mr. Khan there were very large and successful demonstrations by the people of different communities together to condemned the Indian atrocities and human rights violation in London which is an indicator of peoples awakening and strong feelings for oppressed Kashmiris facing curfew and total communication blackout from August 5, 2019 on word.
