Islamabad May 23, 2019: Speaker, National Assembly Asad Qaiser hosted an iftar dinner in honour of Parliamentary leaders and Ambassadors of Islamic countries based in Islamabad. President Islamic Republic of Pakistan Dr. Arif Alvi also participated in the iftar dinner on the special invitation of Speaker, National Assembly as Chief Guest.
 
The Speaker along with Deputy Speaker Qasim Khan Suri and senior officers of the National Assembly Secretariat received the President on his arrival at Parliament House. The Iftar Dinner was attended by Parliamentary leaders of all the Political Parties in the National Assembly, Federal Minister, Ambassadors from Islamic countries and large number of Members of the National Assembly both from Opposition and the Treasury benches.
 
The participants exchanged views on different matters of common interest. Special prayer for progress and prosperity of the country and unity among the Muslim Ummah was offered before the iftar. The Speaker, National Assembly thanked the participants for attending iftar dinner on his invitation.
