Islamabad, 19thMarch, 2019; 3rdmeeting of the Standing Committee on Railwayswas held today under the Chairmanship ofMr. Muhammad MueenWattoo, MNA. The meeting started with the recitation from the Holy Quran.

2.  Fatiha was offered for Shuhada who have lost their lives in gruesome attacks on two Mosques in New Zealand. Then, the Committee decided to proceed with the agenda.

3.  The Secretary, Ministry of Railways, presented overview of the Ministry and afterwards, the Secretary Railway Board gave detailed presentation on functions, performance, and challenges faced by Pakistan Railways.

4.   Hon. Members/MNAs Mr. Muhammad Bashir Khan, Mr. Arbab Amir Ayub, Sheikh Rashid Shafique, Ch. Muhammad Hamid Hameed, Mr. Amjid Ali Khan, KhawajaSaadRafique, Syed Imran Ahmad Shah, Mr. TahirIqbal, Mr. Nauman Islam Shaikh, Pir Syed Fazal Ali Shah Jillani, Engr. SabirHussainKaimKhani, Mr. AftabJehangir and Mr. Ramesh Lal, attended the meeting besides the senior officers from the Ministry of Railways and other related departments with their staf.
