Islamabad, 13thMarch, 2019; meeting for election of the Chairman of Standing Committee on Information Technology and Telecommunication was held on 13thMarch, 2019 at 11:00 am in the Constitution Room (Second Floor), Parliament House Islamabad.
 
2.         The meeting commenced with recitation from the Holy Quran. The SpecialSecretary, National Assembly Secretariat, welcomed the honorable Members and briefed them about the procedure for election of the Chairman.

3.         Ms. RominaKhurshidAlam, MNA, proposed the name of Mr. Ali Khan Jadoon, MNA, as Chairman of the Standing Committee, which was unanimously agreed upon by the Members present in the meeting. Accordingly, Mr. Ali Khan Jadoon, MNA, stood elected as the Chairman.

4.         The SpecialSecretary congratulated the newly elected Chairman on behalf of the honorable Speaker, the honorable Deputy Speaker and the Secretary National Assembly Secretariat. He also assured full support of the Secretariat for effective and efficient functioning of the Committee under the supervision of the honorable Speaker.
