Islamabad, 13Th March, 2019: Meeting for the election of the Chairman of the Standing Committee on Postal Services was held on 13Th March, 2019 at 11:30 a.m in Constitution Room (Old Committee Room No. 5, (Second Floor), Parliament House, Islamabad.
 
2. The Meeting commenced with recitation from the Holy Quran. The Additional Secretary, National Assembly Secretariat, welcomed the Honourable Members and briefed them about the procedure for election of Chairman.
 
3. Rana Muhammad Ishaq Khan, MNA, Member of the Standing Committee on Postal Services proposed the name of Haji Imtiaz Ahmed Choudhary, MNA, as Chairman of the Standing Committee on Postal Services, which was seconded by Nawabzada Iftakhar Ahmed Khan Babar MNA, Ms. Romina Khursheed Alam MNA, & Ch. Shoukat Ali Bhatti, MNA. Accordingly Haji Imtiaz Ahmed Choudhary, MNA, was unanimously elected as Chairman of the Standing Committee on Postal Services.
 
4. The Additional Secretary congratulated the newly elected Chairman on behalf of the Honourable Speaker and Secretary National Assembly Secretariat. He also assured them of full support of the Secretariat for effective and efficient functioning of the Committees.
 
5. Haji Imtiaz Ahmed Choudhary, Chairman, was invited to chair the meeting. He thanked all the members of the committee for electing him as Chairman. He assured his full support & Co-operation with the committee members in good faith of the Country.
 
6. Malik Mr. Aamir Dogar, MNA/ Chief Whip, MNAs, Ch. Shoukat Ali Bhatti, Mr. Faiz Ullah, Malik Karamat Ali, Rana Muhammad Ishaq Khan. Mr. Tahir Iqbal, Ms. Romina Khursheed Alam, Nawabzada Iftakhar Ahmed Khan Babar, Mr. Niaz Ahmed Jakhar, Ms. Munawara Bibi Baloch, Syed Javed Husnain, Ms. Aysha Rajab Ali, Syed Abrar Ali Shah, Mr. Naveed Aamir Jeeva & Additional Secretary, National Assembly, attended the meeting.
