Islamabad, 11th February, 2019; Meeting for the election of the Chairman of the Standing Committee on Narcotics Control was held on 11th February, 2019 at 03:30 p.m in Committee Room No.7, Parliament House, Islamabad.

2. The meeting commenced with recitation from the Holy Quran. The Special Secretary, National Assembly Secretariat, welcomed the Honourable Members and briefed them about the procedure for election of Chairman.

3. Ms. Shahida Akhtar Ali, Member of the Standing Committee on Narcotics Control, proposed the name of Mr. Salahuddin  Ayubi, MNA, as Chairman of Standing Committee on Narcotics Control, which was seconded by Mr. Muhammad Ameer Sultan MNA/Member. Accordingly Mr. Salahuddin Ayubi, MNA, was unanimously elected as Chairman of the Standing Committee on Narcotics Control.

4. The Special Secretary congratulated the newly elected Chairman on behalf of the Honourable Speaker and the Secretary, National Assembly Secretariat. He also assured them of full support of the Secretariat for effective and efficient functioning of the Committee under the supervision of the Honourable Speaker.

5.  Hon. Members/MNAs Mr. Gul Dad Khan, Mr. Muhammad Iqbal Khan, Mr. Mansoor Hayat Khan, Mr. Muhammad Ameer Sultan, Mr. Jamil Ahmed Khan, Ms. Uzma Riaz, Ms. Nusrat Wahid, Mr. Salahuddin Ayubi,  Ms. Shahida Akhtar Ali, and Mr. Mohsin Dawar attended the meeting
