Islamabad:  October 26, 2018.  Foreign Minister Shah Mehmmood Qureshi has called on the Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser at Parliament House on Friday.  In the meeting, matters pertain to over all political, economic situation and mutual interests were discussed.

    The Speaker appreciated the Foreign Policy of the incumbent Government.  He said that world has become global village therefore the closed ties with across the world especially with the neighbouring countries were very necessary.   He said that Shah Mehmood Qureshi  was  a seasoned politician and he highlighted Pakistan’s stance in the world very efficiently in short span of time.

    While terming six billion dollars Saudi Arabia’s relief package a good omen,  the Speaker said that it was an important success of current Government ‘s Foreign Policy.  He said that it will put positive impact on economy of the country and will also enhance the trust of the investors.  He praised Shah Mehmood Queshi for presenting the soft image of Pakistan in vibrant way in the UN General Assembly.

    The Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Queresh thanked the Speaker for his kind remarks. He appreciated his role to run the proceedings of the National Assembly amicably.  He said that Pakistan is a sovereign country and make its decision in light of national interests without any external pressure.

    He said that good relations with neigbouring countries, peaceful resolution of Kashmir issue and highlighted the soft image of Pakistan in the World were basic component of our foreign policy.  He further said that the cordial relations between the Muslim Countries and elimination of misconceptions among them are an important pillar of our foreign policy and mediation between Saudi Arabia and Yemen is part of same.
