NA Standing Committees on House and Library meets

Islamabad: February 8, 2018: National Assembly Standing Committee on House and Library met under the convenership of Malik Ibrar Ahmed, MNA at Parliament House on Thursday.
The Committee expressed its concerns over the non-implementation of decisions/ recommendations made by the Committee during its various previous meetings and directed the CDA to implement the decisions/recommendations of the Committee with letter and spirit. While discussing the delay in delivery of NTC bills to Parliamentarians at Parliament Lodges the Committee members complaint that the NTC bills are delivered to Parliamentarians at Parliament Lodges after due date. The Chair expressed displeasure over the delay in delivery of NTC bills at Parliament Lodges and directed the Divisional Engineer NTC to ensure delivery of the NTC bill in time. The Committee also discussed the non-functioning of lifts of Parliament Lodges and non-provision of heaters in the family suites at Parliament Lodges during winter season. The Committee members expressed that lift of various blocks of Parliament Lodges are out of order and not functioning properly and lift operators also oftenly remained absent from their duty place. The Chair said that such petty matters should be resolved by concerned authority by its own without taking up them into Committee’s meeting. He also directed the CDA to address the complaints of the Parliamentarians according to rules and regulations and on merit without any discrimination or favouritism
The meeting was attended by MNAs Mr. Mehboob Alam, Mian Muhammad Rasheed, Dr. Ibadullah and Senior Officers of CADD, CDA and National Assembly Secretariat.
