Islamabad, the 12th December, 2017: The members of the two National Assembly Standing Committees on Interior and Narcotics Control led by Nawab Muhammad Yousuf Talpur, MNA and Major ® Tahir Iqbal, MNA met with the delegation of State Duma Committee on Security and Counter Corruption of the Russian Federation headed by H.E. Mr. Vasily I.PISKAREV today evening in Constitutional Room (Old Committee Room No. 5), Parliament House, Islamabad.
 

The Committees welcomed each others. The issues of illicit drugs trafficking, terrorism and extremism were discussed in the meeting at length. Both sides were of the view that this is the common enemy of both the countries. Both sides were agreed to join hands for combating the Terrorism, Drugs trafficking and Money Laundering which are the menace crimes from our society. They further agreed to hold such kind of interaction between the Parliamentarians and exchange of delegations to discuss the issues of mutual interest. They further stressed upon the need to promote bilateral relations and strengthen cooperation in the field on Terrorism, Drugs and Money Laundering issues. Both were agreed to meet again in future on these issues and be cooperative with each other on Terrorism, Drugs and Money Laundering issues. At the end; Both Committees were unanimously declared “Long Live Pak-Russian Friendship”.

Members of the National Assembly Syed Iftikhar-ul-Hassan, Shaikh Salahuddin, Ms. Naeema Kishwer Khan, Malik Shakir Bashir Awan, Dr. Muhammad Azhar Khan Jadoon, Mr. Qaisar Jamal, Mr. Sohail Mansoor Khawaja, Minister for Narcotics Control and Minister of State for Interior.
