Islamabad, 31^st October 2017: The 1^st meeting of the Standing Committee on Narcotics Control was held under the Chairmanship of Khawaja Ghulam Rasool Koreja, MNA.

2.      The meeting was started with the recitation from the Holy Quran. Then, the Committee decided to proceed with the given agenda.

3.      The Secretary, Ministry of Narcotics Control and Director General (ANF) briefed the Committee about the structure, tasks and existing strength. They also pointed out their requirements to perform more better of their functions. The Committee appreciated the given briefing and ensured that they will be given full cooperation at theirs end. Further, the Committee recommended that Government of Pakistan may consider the requirements of ANF on priority basis, so that they could perform more efficiently.  

4.      The Hon. MNAs/Member Sahibzada Faiz-ul-Hassan, Rana Umer Nazir Khan, Mian Shahid Hussain Khan Bhatti, Chaudry Armaghan Subhani, Mr. Qaisar Jamal, Mr. Sher Akbar Khan and Minister for Narcotics Control attended the meeting. The senior officers from the Ministry of Narcotics Control and ANF were also attended the meeting.
