The Meeting of the Standing Committee on Planning, Development and Reform was held today on 25^th October, 2017 at 11:00 am in the Regional Office of Higher Education Commission (HEC) Karachi, under the Chairmanship of Mr. Abdul Majeed Khan Khanan Khail, MNA.

The Committee was briefed regarding the physical progress of PSDP projects relating to Bahria University Karachi, IBA Sukkur and Shaheed Mohtarma Benzair Bhutto Medical University Larkana.  The Committee showed its satisfaction over the developmental progress of IBA Sukkur and Bahria University Karachi. However, the Committee directed HEC to hold an inquiry in the alleged irregularities in the PSDP funded project of Shaheed Mohtarma Benzair Bhutto Medical University Larkana by fixing responsibilities against responsibles and submit its report to the Committee.

The Committee was informed that 97.3 physical work of Lyari Expressway has been completed and the rest of work will be completed by December, 2017.

The Committee showed its concerns over the non completion of Sewerage Scheme (SIII) and Karachi Water Supply Scheme (K-4) and directed the concerned authorities to ensure the completion in line with the scheduled time frame.
