The Standing Committee on Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development discussed the “Emigration (Amendment) Bill, 2017 (moved by Dr. Shazia Sobia, MNA” in detail however; the Committee was informed that Government has contemplating to introduce a Bill on proposed legislation. The Minister ensured the mover to incorporate her amendments in the draft Bill. The Standing Committee on Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development met today in site office of Overseas Pakistanis Foundation, Housing Scheme Zone-V, Islamabad under the Chairmanship of Mir Aamir Ali Khan Magsi, MNA.

The Committee expressed displeasure over the agreement made between the administrations of OPF Housing Society & Gulburg Greens for giving approach to the OPF Housing Society. Despite the transfer of 500 Kanal land to Gulburg Greens, the approach has not been given to the OPF. The Committee directed the ministry to take local administration onboard for resolving the matter and report to the Committee. The Committee was informed that 395 Kanal land of OPF housing society is in possession of illegal occupants however, the case was pending before the  Court. The Committee directed the administration of the OPF to pursue the litigation case and also try to make settlement before the Court.

Mr. Abdul Rehman Khan Kanju, Minister of State informed the Committee that the possession of Block C would be given to the owners by the end of this year.
