Islamabad; October, 2017: Meeting of the Standing Committee on Cabinet Secretariat held in Committee Room No. 7, Parliament House, Islamabad this Afternoon with Rana Muhammad Hayat Khan, MNA in the chair. 
 

    The Committee unanimously recommended that “The Federal Employees Benevolent Fund and Group Insurance (Amendment) Bill, 2017” as introduced in the National Assembly may be passed.
 

     The Committee unanimously recommended that the following Bills may not be passed by the Assembly.
 

i)                   The National Conflict of Interest Bill, 2016 (moved by Mr. Murad Saeed, MNA)
ii)                 The Right to Free and Compulsory Education (Amendment) Bill, 2017 (moved by Dr. Fauzia Hameed, MNA)
 

    The Committee expressed strong displeasure over the unnecessary delay in separation of PIMS from Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Medical University, Islamabad and directed that CA&DD may take stringent measures to resolve the issue within one month and report back to the Committee. The Committee further directed that M/o State for CA&DD may hold a meeting to call off the strike of PIMS employees as patients were suffering badly due to non availability of Doctors in OPD.
 

    The Committee also directed that PIMS may take affective measures to restart the Lever Transplant Center, PIMS at the earliest and report to the Committee within one month.
 

    The Committee expressed concern over the issue of affectees of Nurseries and non-payment of compensation amount to the affectees of Land and directed that CDA may take stringent measures to stream line its system to address the grievances of the affectees properly. The Committee therefore, constituted a four members Sub-Committee headed by Malik Ibrar Ahmed, MNA to examine the pertaining issues of CDA.
