Sardar Ayaz Sadiq extends Message of Felicitation on the Occasion of the 25th Anniversary of Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between Pakistan and Kyrgyz Republic

Islamabad: May 12, 2017; Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, Speaker National Assembly and Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh (Parliament) of the Kyrgyz Republic, Mr. Chynybai Tursunbekov exchanged messages of felicitation on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between Islamic Republic of Pakistan and Kyrgyz Republic.

The Speaker National Assembly in his message stated that it is indeed pleasure to note the recent positive engagements between Pakistan and Kyrgyz Republic amid changing geo-political and geo-strategic scenario. A parliamentary delegation led by H.E. Mr. Chynybai Tursunbekov, Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh (Parliament) of the Kyrgyz Republic visited Pakistan from March 13-15, 2017. The visit of the Speaker of the Parliament of Kyrgyz Republic to Pakistan has given new dimension to the bilateral ties between two countries. It was first ever visit of any Presiding Officer of Kyrgyz Parliament and enabled our two sides to reaffirm our support and partnership for each-other.

He said that the Pakistan and Kyrgyz Republic share deep ties of mutual respect, understanding and friendship. Both countries are neighbours and also members of the important regional and international parliamentary forums which provide a strong base for a meaningful cooperation between our two sides. Given the unique role of parliamentary diplomacy in promoting international understanding, I feel that our two parliaments should continue to play a proactive role in further strengthening the already existing excellent bilateral relations between Pakistan and Kyrgyz Republic.

Mr. Chynybai Tursunbekov, Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh (Parliament) of Kyrgyz Republic in his message also conveyed felicitation on the occasion of 25th Anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations and noted with satisfaction the intensification of bilateral relations between Kyrgyz Republic and Islamic Republic of Pakistan. He said, in recent years, mutual visits at various levels have become more frequent. The last visit of the Kyrgyz parliamentary delegation to Pakistan was a breakthrough not only in the inter-parliamentary ties, but also in bilateral relations. We are optimistic about the bright future of the multifaceted Kyrgyz-Pakistani relations and are ready to make the necessary efforts for their further development. I am convinced that this important date in the modern history of friendly relations and mutually beneficial cooperation between our countries will open a new milestone in their subsequent expansion.
