A meeting of the Standing Committee on Climate Change was held on 7th April, 2017 in Parliament House. The Standing Committee discussed the “Cloud Seeding, Implementation of Green Pakistan Project, Pollution created by the use of coal in brick kilns and its alternative measures and disadvantages of plantation of poplar tree alongside the highways.”

The Standing Committee suggested that a detailed report regarding the implementation of “Green Pakistan Project” should be taken from the provinces. The Standing Committee also directed to the M/o Climate Change to provide a detail study to the Standing Committee in its next meeting regarding the coal in brick kilns and its bad effects on the Climate/atmosphere.
