Islamabad, the 20th February, 2017: The Standing Committee on Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development met today under the Chairmanship of Mir. Aamer Ali Khan Magsi, MNA. 

The Committee strongly recommended that the Provincial Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) should resolve the issues of Governing Board on priority basis; So that the salaries of the employees will be released timely.

The Committee strongly recommended that the WWB Punjab to evaluate the performance of the M. Tech Project Punjab in the light of rules and regulation given to them prior. The Committee was also recommended that the issues between the Federal Government and Punjab Government should be resolved for the betterment of socio-economic condition of a country and also the long lasting of this project.  

The Committee was informed that Employees Old-Age Benefits Institution (EOBI) being non-profit government organization does not have profit and loss account. It was also informed that the investment income for the period July, 2016 to January, 2017 is Rs. 30.20 billion against the budgeted amount of Rs. 19.495 billion. 

The Committee was informed that according to UN- Recommendations on “Census” each individual and set of living quarters is enumerated separately. The census should cover precisely defined territory. The population census should include every person present and/or residing within its scope.  The Committee was also informed that during the Census- 2017, all persons living in the country on the Census reference day that i.e. 18th March will be counted and there socio-economic details will be recorded.  

Ch Abid Raza, Syed Sajid Mehdi, Mian Najeebuddin Awaisi, Malik Muhammad Uzair Khan, Ms. Sabiha Nazir, Ms. Shakila Khalid Luqman, Ms. Musarat Rafique Mahesar, Ms. Shagufta Jumani, Ms. Suraiya Jatoi, Sheikh Salahuddin, Ms. Aliya Kamran, Sardar Kamal Khan Bangulzai, Mr, Nasir Khan, Ms. Aisha MNAs and Pir Sadruddin Shah Rashdi Minister for Overseas Pakistanis & HRD attended the meeting, besides officials of Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development.
