Islamabad; January 17, 2017, Meeting of the Standing Committee on Communication held in Parliament House, Islamabad this Afternoon with Mr. Muhammad Muzammil Qureshi, MNA in the chair.
 
The Committee highly appreciated the performance of National Highway Authority (NHA) however, directed that NHA may complete the ongoing projects at the earliest.
 
The Committee was pleased to know that Hon. Prime Minister of Pakistan will inaugurate Hyderabad to Karachi Road (M-9 project) in near future however, the Committee was of the view that it would be appropriate if the said project would be inaugurated after its completion.
 
The Committee expressed satisfaction over the completion of Larkana-Moen-Jo-Daro Road however, directed that NHA may ensure the completion of its maintenance work i.e. completion of shoulders display of Traffic Signs and Reflective Studs etc. in order to make it functional at the earliest.
 
The Committee also directed that NHA may ensure the involvement of local Engineers and Consultants etc. while initiating new government projects to avoid frustration among the local masses.
 
Earlier, Chairman, NHA briefly apprised the Committee about the efforts made by them to ensure the completion of the projects within given time frame and problems faced by them in this regard.
