Islamabad; October 20, 2016, Meeting of the Standing Committee on Cabinet Secretariat held in Parliament House, Islamabad this Morning with Ms. Parveen Masood Bhatti, MNA in the chair. 

The Committee expressed concern over the illegal lease agreement of Grand Hayat Hotel and directed that CA&DD may take stringent measures to recover the investment of Pakistani & overseas communities as they are suffering badly due to uncertain situation. The Committee directed that CDA may identify the black sheep of their department who were involved in the illegal lease agreement and pursue the court cases effectively so that culprits could be penalized accordingly.

The Committee expressed strong displeasure over the mushroom growth of illegal housing societies and directed that CDA may ensure that each housing society may get NOC from CDA before selling a single plot. The Committee further directed that CDA may strengthen its enforcement wing to remove all encroachments in Islamabad without any discrimination.   

The Committee deferred the remaining agenda items till its next meeting.
