Islamabad, the 18th October, 2016: The Standing Committee on Planning, Development and Reform met today under the Chairmanship of Mr. Abdul Majeed Khan Khanan Khail, MNA.

The Committee discussed the progress of different Hydro Power Project including Neelum Jhelum Hydro Power Project, Chitral Hydel Power Station and Golan Gol Hydro Power Project and directed the concerned authorities to ensure their completion within scheduled timeframe.

The Committee was informed that the Lowari Tunnel and Neelum Jhelum Transmission lines will be completed by the mid of next year. It was also informed that the PC-I of Bridge connecting Kallur Kot to D.I. Khan will be completed by December, 2016.

MNAs, Ch.Jaffar Iqbal, Mr. Nadeem Abbas Rabaira, Ms. Shaza Fatima Khawaja, Ms. Shaheen Shafiq, Ms. Shazia Farid, Mrs. Shamas-un-Nisa, Mr. Junaid Akbar, Sheikh Salahuddin, Ms Asyia Nasir, Mr. Sher Akber Khan and Mr. Iftikhar-ud-Din attended the meeting, besides officials of Ministry of Planning, Development and Reform, Ministry of Water & Power and M/o Communications.
